Note from Ross about Bastion + ROC Dance

Dear Bastion

Tickets for the dance have sold well lately and we are up to 65 so far. There are a few tickets left, it is said, at Frontrunners. To date, we are expecting a total of 150 people. Just a reminder that you should have dinner before you come. There will be lots of good food, but it is appetizers, and there won't be enough if everyone loads their plates up.
The Nanaimo Track and Field Club is putting on a 5K fundraiser, on Sunday the 20th, to resurface the track. It will be on the seawall starting at 10:00 a.m. in front of the HoJo. I'm sure they would appreciate all the runners, joggers, or walkers they could get.
For any of you who would like to learn how to ride the trails, Sean Lunney is offering an "Introduction to Technical Mountain Biking" course this Saturday, at the top of Doumont, at 7:30 a.m. Should have your own bike and bring a helmet, gloves and water. Fee of $10. If you are interested contact Dan Brady, danbrady@shaw.ca

Take care,
Ross
