Bastion Bits

It's been a while since I sent out my last "Bastion Bits" information so here goes:

ROC/Bastion Party...a reminder that we need to sell tickets to this event by November 8th so we can advise the caterer on the exact numbers. Tickets are $23 each which includes hot/cold hors dourves, desserts, DJ music and a chance to win some fabulous door prizes including a weekend for two at Middle Beach Lodge in Tofino and Howard Johnson Hotel in Victoria! You can purchase tickets at Frontrunners or by contacting on of the Bastion executive(see website).

5th Annual Thrifty Foods Frosty Footrace.....this walk, 5k or 10k run is scheduled to take place on December 4th, 2005 at 10am. There is also a 1k tot trot which starts at 9:45am. PacificSport is pleased to host this event and is looking for volunteers to set up, act as course marshals, registration and also assist with the finish area. They welcome your energy, experience and invite all volunteers to join the runners at the finish area for food and drink afterwards! Your name will also be entered for a draw prize. Shawnigan Lake 1/2 Marathon....Good luck to all those members who will be racing this Sunday! Don't forget to change your clock and wear your Bastion singlet proudly.

Membership Dues....a quick reminder to bring your membership dues to the party on November 19th. The more dues we collect, the more we can give out next year in club donations!
