Smart Foundation Update

The Smart Foundation has some fantastic news so we figured it was time for an update.

Fundraising Efforts
We have shattered our fundraising goals for 2005. The total raised to date is $28,000!!!!

What’s New
We’re pleased to announce that Fort Street Cycle has jumped on board to sell our Dave Smart Stinky Socks. Our socks are now available through our website, Fort Street Cycle and both the Victoria and Nanaimo Frontrunners Stores.

Just in time for Christmas make sure to pick up a pair of the 1st anniversary Dave Smart Stinky Socks or the Women’s Shorty Socks. Both make great stocking stuffers!

For those jet setters heading to warmer climates this winter make sure to stock up on Kinesys sunscreen. We’ve got plenty to choose from so check out our Smart Products page on our website for more information.

The Last Event for 2005:
As 2005 is quickly coming to an end that means its time to talk BEER: The infamous Dave Smart Second Annual Tribute Beer Mile, to be held on Tuesday, December 20th at the Oak Bay track. This year we’ve decided to brew our own “Smart” beer for the event. We will be charging $10 to enter, which will cover the cost of the beer. All profits from the race will be donated directly to the foundation.

Registration - 6:30 pm
Race Start– 7:00 pm
*There will be medals and prizes awarded following the event!!!!

In closing we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone that has participated, volunteered and supported the foundation over the past year. We want to wish you and your family a very safe and happy holiday.
