Dear Slugs

It looks as if we've got two teams ready to go for the Island Relay. Those golden oldies, the Enduring Endorphins and Bill H's team. That leaves one spot open for our subsidy of $365 for entry fees. If you've been thinking of giving it a try, get nine like minded people looking for a good time and enjoy the race on us.

A beautiful day today as 32 Bastion runners headed to Parksville for the final race of this years series. A lot of top ten finishes led by Eric and Dave D. The truly sad part is that even when Norm and Wendy are jogging they are faster than most of us. Bagels with cream cheese and salmon. Ohhh, yes. Mmm, Chocolate ice cream. Bastion finished third in the series. Good turnout for the races.

I could only see two Bastion runners in the Vancouver Marathon. Zlatko coming in at 3:39 and Frederique at 4:22. Sorry if I missed anyone. A warm one this year.
